Rabe Consulting conducted a wetland delineation on 7,000 acres on the Modoc Plateau. Our scientists are trained in using the Arid West Delineation Manual Supplement and have extensive experience working with seasonal wetlands and know the issues that arise when delineating wetlands in the arid west. We identified more than twenty seasonal depressional flats.
A challenging project, we delineated a 120-acre commercial lot within Klamath Falls city limits. The site had been grazed all summer and most of the acreage was currenly being flood irrigated. Our staff is well intune with the problems and issues that arise when delineating irrigated and grazed wetlands, and are trained in finding solutions to problematic situations.
We teamed up with North State Resources to preform a wetland delineation and Functional Assessment on 2,700 acres of the Barnes Ranch, located in the Wood River Valley. The site has been flood irrigated and grazed for many years and is located on reclaimed lake bottom. Wetlands on the parcel will be enhanced as part of a wetland mitigation by the Bureau of Reclamation.
Ducks Unlimited contracted Rabe Consulting to conduct a wetland delineation for a wetland restoration project north of Goose Lake, in southern Oregon. The goal of the project was to restore Thomas Creek, which was incised and not functioning properly. This project will restore the creek's floodplain to create wetlands and enhance existing ones.
We worked with the Klamath City School District and W & H Pacific on this project to conduct a pre-sale wetland delineation. The goal was to delineate the wetlands to determine the development potential of the parcel. This is often done before a real estate transaction is completed.
Rabe Consulting provides permitting services for docks and boat docking areas within waters of the United States. We have provided our expertise to various algae harvesting companies operating in Upper Klamth Lake, including Desert Lake Technologies and Klamath Algae Products. These projects include wetland delineation and permits for dredging in the lake.
Rabe Consulting conducted a wetland delineation and mitigation project at the Running Y Ranch and Resort. The resort wanted to create a golf pond in an existing wetland near hole one of the golf course. We evaluated and proposed several mitigation options trying to find the best fit for the needs of the resort and the environment.
